Deepening Hong Kong's STEM education, bridging secondary schools with university research
Covering the complete technology stack of sea, air & land robotics
ROV workshops covering mechanical design, underwater propulsion, and sensor applications. Students get hands-on with underwater robots developed by HKUST.
Blimps must balance buoyancy, thrust, drag, and stability — demanding high control precision. The closing competition features 2v2 matches and time trials.
Workshops on sensors, mechanical design, embodied intelligence, and navigation — taught by HKUST's PhD research team.
On April 19, 12 teams competed in the closing event for Gold, Silver, and participation awards, igniting young scientific creativity.
We are in a golden era of rapid development in artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, and robotics. I hope aspiring young people seize the opportunities and pursue their dreams. We will continue to host high-quality STEM events, starting from Hong Kong and expanding to Australia, the UK, and beyond — building an internationally influential STEM competition brand.

Fully guided by Prof. Fumin ZHANG's team at HKUST, with all robots developed by the university — distinct from conventional competitions that use off-the-shelf kits.
13 Hong Kong secondary schools + 2 universities (HKUST, CUHK), with 12 teams and approximately 100 students competing — exceeding all expectations.
