Program Highlights

Covering the complete technology stack of sea, air & land robotics

🌊 Underwater Robotics

ROV workshops covering mechanical design, underwater propulsion, and sensor applications. Students get hands-on with underwater robots developed by HKUST.

🎈 Autonomous Blimps

Blimps must balance buoyancy, thrust, drag, and stability — demanding high control precision. The closing competition features 2v2 matches and time trials.

🤖 Embodied Intelligence

Workshops on sensors, mechanical design, embodied intelligence, and navigation — taught by HKUST's PhD research team.

🏆 Learning Through Competition

On April 19, 12 teams competed in the closing event for Gold, Silver, and participation awards, igniting young scientific creativity.

Cultivating the roots of Hong Kong's STEM education, building bridges between secondary schools and universities for research exchange, and inspiring young people's passion for scientific exploration and innovation.

Fully guided by Prof. Fumin ZHANG's team at HKUST, with all robots developed by the university — distinct from conventional competitions that use off-the-shelf kits.

13 Hong Kong secondary schools + 2 universities (HKUST, CUHK), with 12 teams and approximately 100 students competing — exceeding all expectations.
